小样的作用是给不在场的人听，包括下个月的你自己。所以它首先是一件记录工作，然后才是录音工作：速度写下来、调性写下来、结构写下来，以及一遍在小喇叭上放出来还能听的录音。
这里的条目讲的是「收尾」里最常被跳过的那几件事——先录人声的那一遍、能省下二十分钟的数拍、以及让第二个人不用问你任何问题就能弹这首歌的谱面。跟设备无关。
